ABOUT

Sara Habgood trained at Banbury School of Art and Goldsmiths’ College, University of London, graduating in Fine Art and History of Art. Sara’s studies at Goldsmiths placed her within the extraordinary tradition of British contemporary art associated with the college. Her Goldsmiths generation included artists such as Damien Hirst, Sarah Lucas, Gary Hume and Angus Fairhurst. The college’s emphasis on questioning convention and exploring new approaches to making art has remained an important part of Sara’s outlook.

Her first solo exhibition, at the Chelsea Gallery in London, led to a feature in The Guardian. Since then, she has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, with work shown at major art fairs including the Affordable Art Fair in London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, and the 20/21 International Art Fair at the Royal College of Art.

Sara is represented by Carina Haslam Art and the Fairfax Gallery in Tunbridge Wells, and continues to exhibit through gallery shows and art fairs in the UK and overseas.
